Summary: Paris - Moroccan Communications Minister, Spokesman for the government, described, on Friday, as "exemplary" co-operation between Rabat on investigations into the Marrakech attack, which led to the arrest of three suspects, including the prime perpetrator of the terrorist act.
"The French government exerted no pressure. It rather behaved with the Moroccan government and Morocco in general in an exemplary way," Khalid Naciri told the France-Info radio.
He said it took a mere week to capture the perpetrators, including the prime perpetrator who, he said, developed the jihadist culture through internet and "learnt how to make bombs to kill innocents." The goal, he insisted, was "to harm Morocco and tourists who believe they come to a country of peace." Asked whether further arrests may happen, he did not exclude that, but made it clear that nothing implies that.
In this regard, he said the goal is not to have a large number of suspects, but to be efficient in hunting criminals and bring them to justice.
