Fed: Labor talks up Qld poll, govt talks it down

Labor has talked up the federal ramifications of PETER BEATTIE'S sweeping Queensland
election win, as the government plays down any federal fall-out.

Opposition Leader MARK LATHAM says Mr BEATTIE had campaigned hard on issues such as
education and health that would be central to the upcoming federal election.

And Mr BEATTIE says Mr LATHAM had been a contributing factor to his victory.
