Vic: Privacy chief probes police files claims = 2

A spokesman for Police Minister ANDRE HAERMEYER says the investigation is appropriate.

He says Victoria's Chief Commissioner CHRISTINE NIXON has said there's an issue in
relation to some police inappropriately accessing the database.

Mr HAERMEYER also says the state's police are working on introducing new security arrangements
as it upgrades the LEAP database.
